ADMISSIONS & REQUIREMENTS
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when selecting students for admittance into Elite Beauty Academy. From accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom, to personal attributes and experiences — these often overlooked indicators are strong reflections of the qualities needed to succeed both academically and personally.

OBJECTIVE:

To successfully achieve the mission set out by Elite Beauty Academy, the following objectives have been established:

To offer instruction and training at a superior level by qualified staff.

To provide opportunity for students to gain skill level in Cosmetology limited only by their ability and desire.

To offer education that will better the student’s life, citizenship, and employment potential.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES:
​
Applicants can register for their desired program at any time before the start of the program, and the following must be completed prior to admission.
1. Admission Application
2. Enrollment Agreement
3. Interview by Admissions Representative
4. Meet with a our fiscal representative for a flexible payment schedule
5. Take the PAR ability to benefit test if applicant is not a high school graduate

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
​
1. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age (beyond the age of mandatory school attendance)​​
2. Obtain a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). If the student does not have either, the student must have had completed seventh grade level education and be able to pass the ability to benefit exam.​

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
​
To obtain a Cosmetology Operator License, applicants must:
1. Complete 1,500 hours of instruction in a licensed school
2. Satisfactorily pass the Texas State Board Examination
3. Pay the required licensing fees to the Texas Department of Licensing (TDLR)

To obtain a Eyelash Extension License, applicants must:
1. Complete 320 hours of training in theory and application through a licensed school
2. Satisfactorily pass the Texas State Board Examination
3. Pay the required licensing fees to the Texas Department of Licensing (TDLR)
To obtain a Manicurist License, applicants must:
1. Complete 600 hours of training in manicuring through a licensed school
2. Satisfactorily pass the Texas State Board Examination
3. Pay the required licensing fees to the Texas Department of Licensing (TDLR)

To obtain a Esthetician License, applicants must:
1. Complete 750 hours of instruction in the facial curriculum in a licensed school
2. Satisfactorily pass the Texas State Board Examination
3. Pay the required licensing fees to the Texas Department of Licensing (TDLR)

To obtain a Cosmetology Instructor License, applicants must:
1. Complete 750 hours of instruction in a TDLR approved curriculum or have at least one year of verifiable experience as a licensed instructor and at least 500 hours in a cosmetology training program approved by TDLR.
2. Satisfactorily pass the Texas State Board Examination
3. Pay the required licensing fees to the Texas Department of Licensing (TDLR)
